Raped

He screams, but no one hears.
His been locked away with all his fears.
He cries as this disfigured creature takes his innocence.
His family cold to him, like him on the inside.
He suddenly wakes screaming.
He thanks God it was just a dream.

Only it wasn't a dream.
This poor unloved boy was raped.
His dignity gone.
Too scared to tell because no one believes this could happen to a man.
The problem is it does happen and to often nothing is done.
No justice, and now that boy is gone!

Madoff gets 150 years (yes really)

Bernard Madoff has been given the maximum prison sentence of 150 years for masterminding a massive fraud that robbed investors of $65bn (£40bn). When Madoff was given this sentence it was greeted with cheers and applause in the packed court room. US District Judge Denny Chin said he wanted to send a message that Madoff's crimes were "extraordinarily evil". Madoff's lawyer had sought a more lenient sentence of 12 years.
Judge Chin gave Madoff the maximum sentence on all 11 charges, which included securities fraud and money laundering. "Here the message must be sent that Mr Madoff's crimes were extraordinarily evil and that this kind of manipulation of the system is not just a bloodless crime that takes place on paper, but one instead that takes a staggering toll," Judge Chin said.He said "the breach of trust was massive" and pointed out that no friends, family or other supporters had submitted any letters on Mr Madoff's behalf.
Madoff has 10 days to decide whether to appeal.
His wife Ruth said in a statement released after the hearing that she felt "betrayed and confused".
"The man who committed this horrible fraud is not the man whom I have known for all these years," she said.
'Legacy of shame'
Before the sentencing, Madoff apologised for the "legacy of shame" he had brought on his family and the industry.
"I'm responsible for a great deal of suffering and pain, I understand that," said Madoff, who will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Judith Welling and husband DeWitt Baker: 'We're too old to go back to work'
He turned directly to those in court who had been affected and said he was sorry.
A number of them had earlier given emotional statements. One had broken down in tears during their testimony.
"Life has been a living hell. It feels like the nightmare we can't wake from," said Carla Hirshhorn.
"May your jail cell be your coffin," Michael Schwartz told Madoff.
The BBC's North America Business Correspondent Michelle Fleury said the length of the sentence was unexpected.
Victims would be pleased, she said, but this wasn't the end for them as they are still trying to recover some of their money.
"I think it was certainly a justified sentence," said Judith Welling, who lost $2.5m along with her husband.
"He's trying to send a message to the world that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated," she added.
Thousands defrauded
Bernard Madoff admitted defrauding thousands of investors in a Ponzi scheme which he said had been running since the early 1990s.
Madoff started his financial career aged 22 with $5,000 from money made from summer holiday jobs such as working as a garden sprinkler installer in New York.
He then set up Bernard L Madoff Investment Securities in 1960.
His firm became one of the largest market-makers - matching buyers and sellers of stocks - and Madoff served as chairman of the Nasdaq stock exchange.
Madoff's firm was investigated eight times by the US Securities and Exchange Commission over the past 16 years, because it made exceptional returns.
WHAT IS A PONZI SCHEME?
A fraudulent investment scheme paying investors from money paid in by other investors rather than real profits
Named after Charles Ponzi who notoriously used the technique in the United States in the 1920s
Differs from pyramid selling in that individuals all tend to invest with the same person
But it was the global recession which effectively prompted Madoff's demise as investors, hit by the downturn, tried to withdraw about $7bn from his funds and he could not find the money to cover it.
The list of Madoff's victims includes film director Steven Spielberg's charitable foundation, Wunderkinder.
UK banks were also among the victims with HSBC Holdings saying it had exposure of around $1bn. Other corporate victims were Royal Bank of Scotland and Man Group and Japan's Nomura Holdings.
But it is not just the elite and large firms who were victims of the fraud.
School teachers, farmers, mechanics and many others have also lost money.

My lover By Otep Shamaya

This isone of my faveourite poems from Oteps Shaymaya's book Caught Screaming which you can purchase on www.lulu.com

my lover.
she knows just how to please me...
in love and lust.
I am under her spell...

((neurotic despot of the holy wurd))

I worship daily.

in sacramental sex seances
that lasr a day.

my lover, my muse.
I am your loyal disciple.
I live for your climaxes.

simply, I am obsessed...

not only as compulsion, but for the very being of it...the form, the skeletal structure, the breath that inflates its lungs, the tickle that propagates a giggle, the flesh searing screams of unimagined satisfacation...

not only. but yes
more.more.more.

its the construction of it, the pathway to the unknown, thru the garden, thru the gate, to the sweet forgotton place of bewilderment & fascination. i am the subnation. the illness they ignore. godess of the underworld. she-star, warlock, satan, overload, waiting to be born.

I am in love with a poem, I married her, & made soft little promises we disguised as children. I have a happy life, of secrets & ceremony. I am having an affair. with music. passionate, wild & dangerous. with her, I can do things that my poem considers forbidden. unspeakable things that feel soooooo good that are once primitive and infinite.

my addiction is art. everyday I am desperate for a fix. one more hit. one more trip. where my answers can be deciphered. where my visions can be heightened. me, pilgrim, prophet, politician, poet ... spiritual archeologist. digging deeper and deeper. for the boney remains. i need it. my religion of affliction. to survive. to remain alive. it's ok, it's just fine. I'm not hurting anyone. (really) its just what I need to do to get by.

Haunting me

I was seven.
Only young, so innocent.
I trusted him, he made me trust him.
Why did he di it, he didnt have to do it.

10 years on I still cant forget.
The pain, the shame.
I still hear him whispering.
"It's ok, shh don't cry".

What did I do to deserve that?
For many years that thought ran through my head.
But now I know, I know it wasn't my fault.
It was all your fault.

You hurt me, betrayed me.
You got away with it.
You broke me.
You still haunt me every night.
Please leave my thoughts, my dreams.
Please I'm begging you please!

Beautiful Stranger

As I sit all alone in the frosty wind, thinking of the unknown.
As I sit and wait for deaths sickening grip to choose my fate.
As I sit she stares, her hazel eyes looking straight through me.
I smile at her, no expression in her beautiful pale face.
I think to myself who is this beautiful stranger?
I start to look deeper into her hazel eyes.
I then realise she is also waiting the reaper.
Suddenly I see she's lost, alone.
Sudenly I see who this beautiful stranger is.
Suddenly I see she's not beautiful she is me.

Gunman open fires in a restaurant

In West London a man and a 15 year old boy are recovering from gunshot wounds, after a gunman open fired in a packed restaurant. Lucky neither of them suffred life-threating wounds. The gunman who was carrying two guns chased the man into the restaurant and shot him in the leg. Former S club 7 member Rachel Stevens was dining at the restaurant when the shootings happened. Stevens was having dinner with her family none of them was hurt. An eyewitness said that they saw people "screaming and throwing themselves down on the floor and bullet holes could now be seen". BBC Chief economics correspondant Hugh Pym was also there. He said "I immediatly went to ground and pulled my 15 year old son under the table. "We were aware of a guy running through he didnt appear as if he had a weapon- he appeared as a victim". He continued "Obviuously there was a lot of broken glass and people gradually emerged from under the tables". "People were in shock and were wailing from shock more than anything else".Billy Osbourne was also in the restaurant and saw the first man run in.
"Then all of a sudden a guy in a motorbike helmet came in - he had two automatic pistols and he starts firing at the guy.
"As soon as I smelled the cordite I was under the table.
"Everyone was screaming and hitting the deck.
"It was unbelievable - it was a packed restaurant and it does not appear anybody [among the diners] was hurt."
Harry Morgan's was established in 1948 by a London butcher and has been shortlisted in the Evening Standard Restaurant Awards.
