Gunman open fires in a restaurant

In West London a man and a 15 year old boy are recovering from gunshot wounds, after a gunman open fired in a packed restaurant. Lucky neither of them suffred life-threating wounds. The gunman who was carrying two guns chased the man into the restaurant and shot him in the leg. Former S club 7 member Rachel Stevens was dining at the restaurant when the shootings happened. Stevens was having dinner with her family none of them was hurt. An eyewitness said that they saw people "screaming and throwing themselves down on the floor and bullet holes could now be seen". BBC Chief economics correspondant Hugh Pym was also there. He said "I immediatly went to ground and pulled my 15 year old son under the table. "We were aware of a guy running through he didnt appear as if he had a weapon- he appeared as a victim". He continued "Obviuously there was a lot of broken glass and people gradually emerged from under the tables". "People were in shock and were wailing from shock more than anything else".Billy Osbourne was also in the restaurant and saw the first man run in.
"Then all of a sudden a guy in a motorbike helmet came in - he had two automatic pistols and he starts firing at the guy.
"As soon as I smelled the cordite I was under the table.
"Everyone was screaming and hitting the deck.
"It was unbelievable - it was a packed restaurant and it does not appear anybody [among the diners] was hurt."
Harry Morgan's was established in 1948 by a London butcher and has been shortlisted in the Evening Standard Restaurant Awards.

No aressts have been made yet.
